My Doctoral Dissertation

    My composition of this document was completed long ago, but after many months of bureaucratic manipulation this is the document that was ultimately produced.  My original words have been warped in various ways to satisfy institutional requirements, so it is highly unlikely that this document will ever be published in the form presented here, but I felt a certain obligation to make it nonetheless available, due to the large number of people who have been following this academic journey.  
    Questions, comments, and requests for specific clarification are absolutely welcome.  Let constructive dialogue about this and related topics begin.
